I also recently attended a leadership conference where the author, Dr. Hadiya Roderick, was a keynote speaker. She came to the attention of North America for the groundbreaking work she has done. globe and email It’s called Black on Bay Street. The story described her experiences as a young black lawyer and her blatant prejudices, plus her numerous microaggressions that undermine her at every turn.you can read her work here.
Dr. Roderick is a vocal advocate of “anonymizing” resumes and offers some pretty compelling arguments for doing so.
However, I’m struggling with this. Because in the world want To build a more diverse team. So wait a minute? Is it prejudice too? Yes, it is. You can have prejudices for and you can have prejudices against it.
This is all messed up, isn’t it?
