responsibility
- Electrical engineers understand the fundamentals of electrical engineering and provide technical advice on operations and maintenance while maintaining high standards for process safety.
- Directing, managing and supporting the maintenance, repair and upgrade of 15 kV, 4160 & 480 volt equipment and high power rectifiers rated at 680 Vdc 20,000 amps is a fundamental requirement.
- Optimize daily production to meet business and plant objectives (EH&S, quality, reliability, cost, etc.).
- Assist in the creation and review of unit operating manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance procedures (MOPs) in assigned areas of the plant.
- Initiate change management (MOC) for process design and implementation of minor plant system changes, including the addition, modification, and/or removal of minor equipment.
- Support plant leadership with plant material balance, yield, closure, project design scope, etc. as deemed necessary to maintain operations.
- Transferred. $130,000 to $170,000.
requirements
- Electrical engineers have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering. An electrician with appropriate experience in high voltage/rectifiers is also suitable.
- Willingness to learn and take training courses on relevant electrical topics that engineers are unfamiliar with
- 3+ years of experience in design, specification, maintenance and troubleshooting issues related to 15kV, 4160/480V electrical equipment in chemical manufacturing environments or related industries.
Preferred requirement
- 3-10 years of chlor-alkali operating experience.
- Educational and practical experience in power systems and power electronics.
- Experience in handling high voltage transmission equipment (switchgear, transformer, rectifier, C)
