Job Summary Under the direction of the Deputy Director, conducts technical reviews and tracks and processes building permits for the department. Completes required reviews of permit submissions and provides written technical commentary as required. When appropriate, conducts site inspections as directed by the Deputy Director, supports or contests claims, verifies plan submissions, supports site inspectors, consults with project engineers, and administers professional services contracts. *This position is eligible for a signing bonus* Minimum Qualifications Diploma Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university, and 2 years or directly related experience as a Civil Engineer or education and/or Equivalent combination of experience required. A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance is required. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of work experience in the design or review of stormwater management and site improvement plans • Certification as a Certified Floodplain Manager • 1+ years of work experience using AutoCAD or similar software *This position is is considered to be an important position.
