Salary: $33,272 – $58,226 Challenge We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Division 9 Equipment Shop team. In this role you will: Performs progressive tasks including servicing and repairing gas/diesel powered motor vehicle and heavy equipment mechanical systems. Different types of mechanical systems vary in complexity and perform mechanical tasks at different levels. Functions as Level I. A mechanic who performs skilled mechanical work on the system. Perform preventive maintenance. We install/repair tires, tubes, wheels and rims, cranking systems, lighting systems, cooling systems, fuel systems, and hydraulic systems. Things to bring: A full set of maintenance tools. Ability to perform duties to meet and comply with all safety regulations. Ability to prepare and maintain documentation, equipment repair, inventory, and service records. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Physical strength and agility to move. Parts and materials for equipment repair and maintenance. Ability to safely operate equipment for testing purposes. Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a commitment to providing a safe work environment. Ability to read and interpret original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manuals. Class A Commercial Driver’s License Tanker (N) with approval. (Even if you don’t have one, we encourage you to apply! You can earn it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire.) Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Safety toe shoes. What to Expect This role requires working during severe weather conditions such as snow/ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc., which may result in long daily hours, weekends, and holidays. We conduct drug tests and background checks prior to employment. You can obtain information about controlled substance/alcohol testing from your previous employer within the past three years.
